I. Teaching Objectives 教学目标：

Teach students how to write a composition using effective sentences and train the students’ writing ability.

II. Teaching Focus教学重难点：(including key and difficult points)

Improve the students’ writing ablility

Teach the students how to get the key words and how to use effective sentences to complete a coherent composition.

Computer PPT, handouts (a learning paper), projector, blackboard.

Task-based Approach ,Individual and Cooperative Learning, Presentation.

V. Teaching Procedures 教学步骤：

Step 1 Lead-in

Show the students two samples of composition. The first one is poor hand-writing, and the second one is better. However, it needs some improvements.(Students activity)

Step 2 Using proper vocabulary

According to the references, the students should learn how to make the sentences more abundantly.(Students activity)

Step 3 Using varied sentence patterns

Firstly, let the students appreciate sentence pattern samples, including Inversion, Emphatic sentence, Non-predicate verb,With composite structure ,Noun clauses. Then let the students practise the exercises in the students’ paper.

Step 4 Discussion and presentation

Let the students observe one composition which is not used writing skills, next divide them into several groups to discuss how to enrich it with the help of the reference sentences. Finally, give some students opportunities to show their ideas.

VI. Homework

Students are required to use writing skills to make your composition better. Rewrite the composition on the students’ paper in details.
