This lesson introduces some basic information about the Grammys. It is important in the module because it serves as a bridge connecting music with the reality or we can say, the famous awards. Most importantly, through it students can be more interested in music and take pride in Chinese music.
教学目标
Knowledge and skills:
Lead ss to know basic information about the Grammys;
Help ss to master seven phrases and four words;
Enable ss to make a simple acceptance speech using the sentence patterns.
Process and methods:
Through the video, listening and self-study, ss can get some basic information on the awards and the ceremony.
Through group-discussion, cooperation and presentation, ss can say more detailed information and at the same time, learn to cooperate and enlarge and deal with information.
Emotional attitude and values:
Arouse ss’s interest and love for music, pride in Chinese music and cooperative spirit.

学情分析
Ss have learned something about music; some ss can say simple sentences, but for the majority, they need some sentence patterns to guide them; ss have known how to write about a person or a common place, but not an acceptance speech, so this can be a difficult point. Words and phrases can be dealt with easily by the students.
