According to the new Curriculum Criteria, I decide to adopt Task-based Learning (TBL). The students will be given tasks to review and summarize the usages of subjunctive. In this way, not only will the students' learning motivation be greatly stimulated, but also their communication skills and writing skills will be effectively improved.

The New Curriculum Reform also requires the student to obtain and analysis the information in English by summarization and reasoning. It is a challenge for the students. I decide to help the students to summarize the different usages of subjunctive and put grammar into use to express their ideas flexibly.教学目标The Main Task:

The students will be helped to summarize the different usages of subjunctive and put subjunctive into expressing their ideas flexibly.

Language Focus:

In this period, the students will summarize and master the usages of subjunctive.

Language Skills:

In this period, the students will be guided to develop their ability of summarizing

and communication skills.

Learning Strategies:

1. Cognitive Strategy: In this period, with the help of chart, the students will be able to find out the different usages of subjunctive.

2. Communication Strategy: In this period, the students will be motivated to express their suggestions and wishes with subjunctive.

3. Writing Strategy: In this period, the students will be required to write suggestions with subjunctive.

Affection:

In this period, the students will be cultivated to take the responsibility of making our school and environment better.

Culture:

In this period, the students will be inspired to find out the different ways to express suggestions ,wishes and regrets, etc.教学重难点1. The students should master the different usages of subjunctive.

Task 1

Tell the students a story and highlight the sentences with subjunctive:

The other day I met a student who studied in our school a few years ago. He told me he graduated from a university last year but he was still looking for a job. I was surprised.

Jim-------“Ms Fan, it is really difficult to find a job. How I wish I had followed your advice when I was in high school! I would rather I had not wasted the time I should have spent on studying. If I had worked harder, I could have been admitted to a better university. If only I had graduated from a top university!” He regretted.

T------“Don’t worry. You are still young. I suggest that you should go on with further study. It would be easier for you to find a job if you should have a Master’s degree.”

Jim------“I can’t agree more. I think it is high time that I should take action now.”
