1. How to retell the passage correctly by using key words.

2. How to use the difficult words correctly.

Step1: Lead in

The students will enjoy a short movie to talk about some animals by asking a question like this :What …..do you like ?

Step2: Revision

Discuss the animals the students like and the reasons.

Step3. Activity 2a

Pair work: ask students to discuss the animals that they think are in great danger.

Check the animals that you think are in great danger.2a then use some pictures to teach the words.

Step4. Reading in 2b

·Pre-reading: read the passage quickly and find out main idea of each paragraph.

·While-reading: read the three paragraphs one by one then answer the questions.

·Post-reading: use the key words to retell the passage.

Step5. Appreciate the endangered animals in China now and watch a short movie . Then discuss and give a report: How can we save animals?
