III. Teaching aims(教学目标)：

1. Knowledge and Skills(知识与技能)

a. Talk about the two biggest problems for developing countries.

b. Learn to writean advertisement for a place.

c. Learn to make comparisons of two places.

d. Talk about the differences between developing and developed countries.

2. Process and methods(过程与方法)

Train students’ speaking and reading ability through individual and pair work.

3. Emotion and Values(情感与价值)

了解社会发展成果，激发对祖国和家乡的热爱；放眼世界，以实际行动关心世界贫穷落后地区的人们。

4. Cross-cultural awareness(文化意识)

了解发达国家和发展中国家的情况，了解他们的主要区别和贫富差别的现状

1. 教学重点：

(1) Master the words and phrases in this module.

(2) Learn but，however, although, while.

(3) Reading

2. 教学难点

(1) Talk about the situation of the developing countries.

(2) Link words.

(3) Learn to write a description comparing two places.

(4) Write a passage about your hometown.
