【Curriculum Criteria】Level Seven(Applied to Senior Two students)

Material Analysis:

The reading material is taken from Book 7 Module 4 Music Born in America. It focuses on the origin and the development of Hip Hop and the reason why Hip Hop was so successful. In this class, I combine reading with grammar and then pick out the adverbial clause of time with noun phrases by fast reading and pay attention to the application of grammar and language. Using the task-based teaching method and Cooperative group learning method, we can expand the language input and output of students.

2. Students Analysis :

Students in Senior Two have already acquired some knowledge about the adverbial clause of time with noun phrases. However, they haven’t learned it systematically. So they may have difficulty in working out the grammatical rules by themselves and applying them to actual practice.

Besides, some students are not good at English and they may not behave so actively in class, so the teacher should set some interesting tasks and activities to get them involved in class.
