《Reading and vocabulary》公开课教案优质课下载
In the reading part of “Simon Wakefield’s Yunnan Diary”, an extract of it is greatly demonstrated for students to appreciate. Since students may not be so familiar with Yunnan scenery, teachers should show some relevant materials.
The Analysis of Students
The students are from Senior 2. They have achieved certain ability in English comprehension. However, student may not be so familiar with ethnic group and they may know little about the different culture, so more materials should be provided to strengthen the student’ comprehension.
Learning Objectives
Based on the analysis of the teaching ideology, the teaching material and the students, the following objectives are set:
Language Knowledge
Use the proper expressions to describe Yunnan and to introduce Yunnan according to the text.
Know better about how to write a travel diary.
Learn some words, such as "run, inherit, property, varied" and so on.
Language Skills
By the end of the class, my students will be able to
Grasp the major information in each paragraph.
Locate specific information by scanning.
Improve their speaking skills through role play.
Cultural Awareness
By the end of the class, my students will be able to
Get familiar with the Yunnan scenery and have a better knowledge of the Yunnan culture.
