Period 1 Introduction, Reading and Writing
Teaching Goals:
1. To arouse Ss’ interest in learning about The World’s Cultural Heritage;
2. To get Ss to know about The World Heritage List;
3. To get Ss to know the difference between tangible cultural heritage and intangible cultural heritage;
4. To enable Ss to write a paragraph about an intangible human heritage.
Teaching Procedures:
Step 1. Lead-in
Recently, there is a TV play very hot and popular. Its key character is a man who is very humorous and lovely. He said:”I want to drink hand-grinding coffee.”Who is he?

Apart from key characters, have you remembered the spots and landscapes of the TV play?
Where are they?
Suzhou. Tongdeli, Jinjihu, Gusuqu
As an old saying goes:”Just as there is Paradise in Heaven,there are Suzhou and Hangzhou on earth.”
Step 2: Introduction
(1).Discuss the following questions:
1. Have you been to Suzhou?
