3.To practise the Oral Cloze Strategy by practising reading the passage.
Teaching methods:

Important points:
1.Help the students to get some skills of Cloze Test to improve their ability.
2.Remember some words that appear in the Cloze Test.
Difficult points:
1.How to scan the Cloze Test to find the main idea of the passage.
2.How pick out the right answer among the four similar words.
Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Lead in:
Ask the students “which part do you think is the most difficult in an English exam?”
Let the students think about the key rules of how to do Cloze Test better and then in groups,list them on their notebook.
Step 2 Sills and methods:
Teach students the five skills of Cloze Test:context;logic;regular collocation;words analysis;background knowledge.
Do some exercises by dividing them into two groups.The group that answer the question quickly will get one score .
Give the students some tips before doing the Cloze Test.
Give the students ten minutes to do the Cloze Test.
The two groups write down their answers on the blackboard,and then compete with each other.The group that lose the game have to sing an English song.
Analyze the questions one by one,and point out which skill it uses.Tell the students what informative words are and how important they are,then let the students read the whole passage quickly and then try to underline the informative words from the passage.
Step3. Practising and checking.
1.Practise reading the whole passage in groups.
2.Copy those informative words on their notebook.
