Step1 Greetings:
T: Good morning! boys and girls.
S: Good morning! Miss Huang.
Step2 Presentation
T: We have learned English for 2 years. And we have Learned some words about the parts of our body. Are you still remember them? What are they?
S: hand, foot, mouth, eye…
T:Yes. You are great. Today, let’s learn the names of these body parts.
The teacher present a picture of Pan Changjiang on the screen. Let students say each parts of the body.
Work on Section A 1a.
The teacher show some picture on the screen and ask students to practice”What’s the matter?/ What’s the matter with… –I have a cold./ I have a stomachache./I have a toothache./ I have a headache./I have a sore back./ I have a sore throat./ I have a fever.”(Students repeat with teacher.)
Have students look at the picture and ask: What can we say to him?
Ss: What’s the matter?
T: What should the boy say?
Ss: I have a cold.
Let students repeat with other pictures about other illness.
Ask some students to use gestures to show the illness, and have other to guess.
Make a model dialogue. (S1 does an action to express an illness.)
T: What’s the matter with he/she?
