Step 1 Lead-in
Greet the students and lead them to the topic of the article.
Step 2 warming up
The students tell the meaning of “A Land of Diversity” to know about the multicultural features of the United States.
The students learn about California via reading the maps and enjoying a collection of pictures.
This step will lead the students to have a brief knowledge of California and its significance in USA. It combines what the students have known from their previous reading (other relevant materials) before class.
