本模块的话题“The Conquest of the Universe”,模块任务是“Making a time line of Chinese space exploration”。本模块的学习，能帮助学生了解人类探索太空的伟大历史，了解太空探索中的英雄人物，对于培养学生的人文价值观和提高民族素养有着重要意义。

2. 不同版本对相关教学内容的处理

新人教版必修3 Unit 4《the science of the stars》，带领学生们了解宇宙起源，了解天文学的相关知识，作为必修的内容，相对难度较小，课标要求较低，关注学生基础的夯实及语言背景的铺垫。而外研版把这节课作为选修教材，而且辅助以《Secrets of the Gas Giant》;《May the Force be with You》以及《The War of the Worlds》等，内容丰富生动，侧重学生思维能力的培养，对学生进行文化意识的培养。

3.本课时分析

我今天进行的课时属于writing 部分。学生通过前面的几个课时的学习，对人类首次登月，人类首次航天飞机飞行和“挑战者”号爆炸等太空探索历史上的大事件的学习，引出关于自己梦想的话题，就此话题写出一篇作文，并对其进行修改，学会一些写作技巧和方法。
