2. To arouse Ss’ interest in learning about poems
Teaching Procedures:
Step 1. Lead-in
Show some pictures about the English Romantic poets’ poems. And divide the class into 9 groups to compete with each other.
Step 2. Reading Practice
1. Pre-reading
Ask Ss to read the poem I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud.
2. Fast reading
Ask Ss to read the passage quickly and choose what are talked about in the passage.

C the golden age of English poetry and some English poets D the poetry written in the golden age

3. Skimming
Ask Ss divide the passage into 3 parts and then match the main idea with each part..
