二、教学设计思路

本节课是一节阅读课，阅读一名从中国到英国的交换生的文章，介绍其在英国的学校生活。以welcome板块的四副图片引入英国学生学校生活的话题，并简单地比较中、英学生学校生活的差异，由此引入课文的主题。在处理阅读中，让学生在阅读过程中使用skimming理解文章大意，用scanning 获取细节信息，之后再灵活巧妙地运用这两种阅读技巧，用skimming找出文章的各段大意，用scanning说出各段的详细信息，然后，在理解的基础上水到渠成地引导学生详细比较英国学生的学校生活与中国的校园生活的区别，以此培养学生的综合语言应用能力。之后，根据这名中国学生在英国体验的不同生活方式的经历，以小组讨论形式去发现这名学生作为一名交换生所具备的一些优良品质，以强化记忆，扩展思维，并充分调动学生的学习积极性，开展激烈的、生动活泼的、有交际意义的、以学生为主体的语言实践活动。最后根据学生的热烈讨论成果，将其以书面形式展示出来，写一篇150词的短文或让一部分学生进行课文的复述，培养学生的概括、总结能力，然后用seewolink功能，把平板电脑与交互屏链接起来，把学生的作品展现在屏幕上，并对其进行适当的点评。

三、教学目标

1. To help the Ss master the reading skills of skimming and scanning.

2. To guide the Ss to understand the passage and learn about more details of school life in the UK.

3. To encourage the Ss to compare the differences between the school life of the UK and Chinese students.

4. To write a short passage about Weihua’s good qualities according to her experience in the UK or retell the story.

四、教学重难点分析及解决措施

重难点：如何结合语篇理解两种阅读技巧skimming和scanning并让学生灵活运用于阅读中。

解决措施：让学生先回答两个问题：1. Who wrote the article? 2.What did she write about?学生很容易地找到问题的答案，再问：How can you find your answer quickly? ——By looking at the title.然后告诉学生通过浏览标题我们可以理解文章的中心大意，这就是skimming. 然后让学生阅读课本第三页的阅读技策略，然后进行填空。理解了skimming之后，运用skimming 阅读技巧，去找出各段的段落大意。找出了各段的段落大意之后，问学生：If we want to get some detailed information or certain information about each aspect, what kind of reading strategy should we use? 要求学生继续读阅读策略,然后填空。接着再运用scanning, 去找出各段的详细信息，从而达到了理解并运用的目的。
