Step1 Warming-up

Enjoy some pictures:

T shows Ss two groups of pictures: if our human beings have some feathers and wings, could they fly just like the animals?

Purpose: make the Ss imagine the result of human beings with wings and make them interested in the following story.

Step2 Presentation

Step1: skimming

Read the whole story and divide the whole story into four parts:

Part 1: school

Part 2: hospital

Part 3: home

Part 4: shillan

Purpose: train Ss the skimming ability as a whole.

Step 2: detailed reading

Part 1

Ask and answer:

Q 1: who are George and Sarah?

Q 2: how did Michael feel when he was at school?

Part 2

T/F

The people in the hospital are not friendly to Michael because of his strange body.

Michael has a good memory, especially about his past.
