Read the first passage and answer the following questions
1. Who started the radio club? Kate Jones, the writer
2. When did the radio club start? Two years ago
3. Why did the radio club start? CD players were not allowed in school, and they wanted to play music during break time.
Step 3 Scanning
Read the first passage again, and take some notes.
What the radio club does:
1. every morning:
Tell about the weather, the recent news, special messages the teachers want to broadcast.
2. during exam time:
The special programme telling students what they should and shouldn’t do.
3. at the end of the school year:
Graduating students giving messages to their friends and teachers
4. when parents come:
