Step 1 Lead-in
Let students have a free talk about what is a club and show them some interesting pictures of different school clubs.
Step 2 Reading
Club one
Firstly, have students listen to the passage with some questions and then answer the questions.
Next, have students read the first passage, which is about a school radio club run by students themselves. Have them find out as much information as they can about the radio club.
2. Club two
Have students read the second passage, which is about a school club--- Poets of the Next Generation. Then, let them find out some relevant information.
3. Summary
Let students summarize the main idea of the two passages and understand the passage better.
Step 3 Discussion
Ask students what they think about the two articles, and whether they would like to start a club to do something they are interested in and have a discussion on their interesting posters.
