Step 1 Warming-up (4 minutes)
Check students’ preview.
Ask students to answer the following questions:
How do you feel if you are left home alone?
Have you ever experienced anything unforgettable (难以忘怀的) while you are home alone?
Complete a sentence and learn an old saying “When the cat is away, the mice will play”.
Purpose: Lead students to today’s topic “Home alone” and let them be familiar with the growing pains.
