1. Draw the directions on the blackboard and ask students to guess what the drawing is.
2. Have students guess what word can be made up of the four letters.
Teacher: The four letters can make up a word. It is a simple noun, and it means the information coming from all the directions. What is it?
3. After students give the answer---“news”, the reading is introduced.
Teacher: In this class, we will learn about news, a newspaper article---Boy missing, police puzzled.
