Step 1 Lead-in
Play the song “ when you are old” before the class,
Tell them the reason why I like the song and the fact that the lyrics are adapted from the poem when you are old.
Step 2 Introduction
Make an introduction to the poet and provide some background information for the Ss by using some pictures, arrows and simple sentences.
Encourage Ss to answer the question: “ If you had a lover, what would you say to him/her?”
