本节课的内容主要围绕如何征询建议和提出建议展开的。因此，在教学过程中给学生提供一些具有价值的、具有文化内涵的对话如墨西哥的亡灵节。整个教学过程以学生为主体，充分体现新教材任务型教学设计的思路，强调了师生互动这一特色。通过一种和谐的教学方式，使学生在一种紧张而又有序的氛围当中掌握和运用知识。
Teaching aims:
This section consists of a series of activities which provide students opportunities to learn and practice the language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Through all these activities, students will be able to learn how to ask for and give advice in English, how to understand the main idea while reading and how to write a letter of advice.
Teaching procedures:

Show students a movie clip called Coco to encourage them think about the problem the boy Migo meets and try to draw their attention to the Mexican rite called Day of the Dead, when people buy toys and traditional sweets for the dead children and different alcoholic drinks for the deceased adults .

Step 2 Listening
Ask the students to listen to a dialogue between Daniel and Olga about Day of the Dead twice.
Task1: Fill in the blanks
Daniel: Hi Olga, how are you?
Olga: Fine, Daniel, how are you?
Daniel: Good, thanks. I wanted to ask you something. I'm really interested about 1._________holidays------- the Day of the 2.________. Can you tell me something about it?
Olga: Actually that day we celebrate the, not celebrate but 3.________the people 4._____ are already dead especially in our close family.

Daniel: You keep the altar only on the first and the second?
Olga: Well sometimes we do it at school but still it's just like you know to keep the tradition but usually in the family.
Task 2: Summarize the general idea of the festival.
A festival for the Dead is held once a year in Mexico, which is a cheerful occasion, for on this day, the dead are said to return to their homes and they are welcomed by the living.
(Purpose: Presenting students two skills needed to write a letter of advice.(1) Learn to ask for and give advice.(2) Learn to read for main points)
