模块一 Module I Teenage experiences《Reading(1):Dying to be thin…》公开课教案优质课下载
课堂设计指导思想:
本课件在兼顾培养学生的口语能力的同时, 注重提高学生的阅读理解能力和启发学生的创新思维能力。创设多种情景激发学生的学习兴趣,通过问题的设置检验学生对文章细节的理解,并通过小组活动就某一问题展开讨论,达到对学生综合理解能力的培养。
Teaching aims:
Improve students’ reading ability.
Enable students to master reading strategy:understanding sentences with ‘however’ or ‘but ‘.
Enable the students to learn something from the three e-mails .
Teaching procedures
Step1: Lead-in (ppt3-13)
Show some pictures and talk about them ,ask the students to get familiar with the topic this class.
2.Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each way to lose weight.
【设计说明】引入话题,讨论几种减肥方法的利弊。引导学生对本课话题有初步了解。
Step 2:Prediction(ppt14)
1. Guide students to read the title “Dying to be thin” and predict what might be talked about in the text. (e.g. who, what, why, ways to use, the results, etc.
【设计说明】在阅读课文前,先介绍此类阅读文体的“Reading strategy”, 会使学生对阅读技巧的理解及把握更有效。
Step 3:Fast reading (ppt15-16)
1. Ask students to go through the three e-mails as quickly as they can and answer three questions .
2. Ask students to find answers to the three questions .
【设计说明】承接上面Reading strategy的介绍,第一遍阅读就把寻找本文reading strategy的几个要素作为阅读要求,有利于学生对故事情节的了解。同时设计简单问题和词汇练习,为更深入地理解课文做铺垫。
Step 4 : Careful reading(ppt17-27)
Read the first two emails paying attention to some detailed information and then finish some exercises.
Determine which sentences are true and which ones are false ,then correct the false ones .
To do six multiple choices .
【设计说明】通过判断正误和选择题回答问题等形式的练习,让学生深入理解邮件内容。对吃减肥药片减肥有清晰的认识,这对身体是有害的。应避免这种方法减肥。
Step 5:Detailed reading (ppt28-29)
1.Fill in the charts about the three periods of Amy’s mood. What is her mood in each period? And what are the reasons and results?
