Ⅰ. Pre-reading
Step1 Checking homework
Check students’ preview work of the new words they are going to come across in their reading.
Step2 Warming-up
Show students some pictures of their sleep gestures in the classroom and then have a small talk with them.
Ⅱ. While-reading
Step3 Getting information
Students are going to read the passage part by part and finish the tasks based on each part to get some specific information about sleep.

Task : Listen to the recording of this part and fill in the blanks.

Task : read this part and write a topic sentence for each blank.

Ⅲ. Post-reading
Step4 Predicting information
Ask students to predict what will be discussed in the next part.
Step5 Processing information
After predicting the last part of the passage —how to improve your sleep,students will discuss with group members to come up with some advice to improve sleep and then share their group work in the class. (After that, the teacher shows students the ways put forward in the passage by the author to students.)
Step6 Summarizing
The teacher makes a summary of the class.
