3、He was born in 1929 and died in 1968. He was an American political activist, the most famous leader of the American civil(公民的) rights movement. Considered a peacemaker throughout the world for his promotion（促进） of nonviolence（非暴力） and equal treatment for different races（种族）, he received the Nobel Peace Prize before he was assassinated（暗杀） in 1968. He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Jimmy Carter in 1977, the Congressional （国会）Gold Medal in 2004, and in 1986, his day was established in his honor. King's most influential and well-known speech is the "I Have a Dream" speech”.
