一、学情分析 The analysis of the students:
After the learning of Module I,students are familiar with English learning in Senior high school,especially the Reading part.Before the class, ask the students to prepare for the text. Students are always curious about strange or mysterious things in the world,so they can do some research about some unexplained things by themselves, which can make them feel English learning is interesting and easy.Of course, students can put English into their practice.Gradually, they will love English.
二、教材分析 The analysis of this part:
The reading text is a news story about a boy, whose disappearance was thought to be connected with a UFO. Though a lot of effort has been made to investigate the case, it still remains a mystery.
The reading strategy of this unit enables students to become familiar with typical writing features in news articles and acquaint themselves with effective ways of reading those articles.
