《Grammar and usage(1): Present perfect tense》公开课教案优质课下载

To help student to understand the usage of the present perfect tense.

Objectives:

Students will be able to write the form of the present perfect tense.

Students will be able to know when the present perfect tense is used in these sentences.

Students will be able to tell the differences between the present perfect tense and some other tenses.

Important and difficult points:

The main usage of present perfect tense.

The differences between the present perfect tense and some other tenses.

Materials: The multi-media, learning papers.

Procedures:

Step 1 Warming up (2minutes)

Ss listen to an English song named “What I’ve been looking for”. From this song, Ss can hear some sentences which use the present perfect tense, such as “I've never had someone that knows me like you do”, etc. And then they will know the topic of the lesson is present perfect tense.

Step 2 Learning aims (1minute)

Ss read three learning aims together.

Step 3 The form of the present perfect tense (5minutes)

1. Go over Lesson 5 of New Concept English and point out which sentences use the present perfect tense. And try to explain why the tense is used in these sentences.

①Mr. James Scott has a garage in Silbury and now he has just bought another garage in Pinhurst.

②Pinhurst is only five miles from Silbury, but Mr. Scott cannot get a telephone for his new garage, so he has just bought twelve pigeons.

③Up to now, Mr. Scott has sent a great many requests for spare parts and other urgent messages from one garage to the other.

④In this way, he has begun his own private 'telephone' service.

(1). Ss underline the present perfect tense.

(2). Ss try to explain why the tense is used in these sentences.

(T allows some certain Ss to say the reasons in Chinese. If a student gives the correct explanation, T will give his/ her group a point.)

2. Ss get the form by analyzing these sentences.

(Ss say the form together.)
