StepI. Lead-in

Ask the students to watch a video which says there are some spelling errors in the posters of CA-EXPO. Then the teacher asks: Are there any spelling errors in the exercise of Error Correction ? Let’s do some exercises to make discoveries .

【设计意图】本环节通过让学生看热点新闻视频引出问题: 这则新闻主要讲什么?单句改错题中有拼写错误吗?适当设疑可以充分激起学生的求知欲。视频能使老师在导入时就能抓住切入点,集中学生的注意力,激活思维,引发他们听课的兴趣,很自然地为整堂课奠定了一个氛围基调: “我要学”。这发挥了多媒体和网络技术优化英语课堂教学的作用。

StepII Discovery

Ask the students to do the excercises of “Error correction” appearing in the past year and remind them they needn’t correct errors in the four aspects: 单词拼写不改, 大小写不改; 词序不改;标点符号不改 .Then the teacher helps them summarize the errors they need to correct: the verb, the noun, the pronounand the adj&adv. Sometimes they need to correct the errors of the article, the preposition and the conjunction. Finally the teacher tells the students they need to focus on the verb, the noun, the pronoun and the adj&adv and learn some skills or rules to correct the errors in this class.
