Step 1. Lead-in

Step 2. Different forms of language
Look at the card and see how many languages are used. Invite some of them to read the languages they know.
= 1 ﹨ GB3 ① Use four little interesting pictures to introduce emoticons, and focus on a commonly used emoticon to ask them to think about what it stands for.
= 2 ﹨ GB3 ② Show them more emoticons and ask them to guess the meanings.
