Train students’ reading ability. Using the approaches of braining-storming, fast reading, listening, careful reading. While reading, pay attention to the reading strategy. Discussion in pairs or in groups.

四. 教学过程
Step 1【导入】lead-in (questins & comparison & braining-storming)
Review the five senses learnt in Welcome to the Unit, and lead the students to the topic we are going to learn next by asking questions.
1) What are the five senses we learnt before?
2) With what sense can we know there is fog around us?
3) Can we always see clearly?
4) What can you think of when the word “fog” is mentioned?
(设计意图:通过提问,让学生对比在大雾天气状况下和非大雾天气状况下的北京鸟巢和泰晤士河,并通过头脑风暴让学生进行联想,调动学生的学习热情和兴趣,学生跟着老师的引导一步一步地对Fog展开了解,为文章的阅读做铺垫,同时也水到渠成导入了本课主题。)
