Teaching aims:
Get to know the development of Chinese characters.
Get informed of the formation of Chinese characters.
Practice explaining some Chinese characters to the foreign teacher Lucc of our school by the way it forms,how it is pronounced and some interesting stories related to the characters.
Ask the foreign teacher to feed back on the students’ presentations of their favorite characters and make a summary.

Step 1 Lead-in
1.Ask the foreign teacher Lucc what language he speaks and the language he wants to learn.
The language he speaks --- English--- western language --- words --- letters --- alphabet
The language he wants to learn --- Chinese--- eastern language--- characters--- shapes
2.Examples : 马 鞍 山 二 中
3.Ask: who is supposed to be the person who created Chinese Writing?
4.Predict:How he created Chinese Writing
