knowledge and skills:

Help the students learn how to make a booklet of some Chinese characters that have been chosen.

Process and method

The approaches of discussion and cooperative learning will be adopted in the teaching process of this section of the uint.emphasis will be put on the students’ ability of using english,such as speaking snd thinking in english. Language is best learned through activities. Introduce a rich variety of task-based activities and approaches to meet different needs of the students.

Emotion, attitude and value

Try to help the stdents have a deeper understanding that the development of language to some extend reflects the development of the society, which will arouse their interest in language studying.

Teaching important points:

1 How to make a booklet about the languages.

2 Enable he students to assign roles to each group member and work together to solve problems

Teaching difficulties:

1 Search for as much as possible information concerning the topic by all kinds of ways and select the useful information for producing a TV show.

2. Help the students to make an overall design.

3. Ensure that every student has a chance to express himself/herself.

Teaching procedures:

Step1:lead in

Review what we have learnt before in this unit with the students.

Show some pictures of booklets and tell the students what a booklet is.

Step 2 Instruction

Introduce the steps of making a booklet to the students: planning, preparing, producing and presenting.

Step 2 Explanation of the four steps

Further explanation of the four steps:

Planning:

Work in small groups and discuss and choose what the group would like to research.

Discuss the layout of the booklet.

Divide the work each group member will do.
