By the end of this class, students are able to know the reading strategies about how to read diary entries ;
By the end of this class, students are able to understand the main idea and content of this passage “Lost civilizations” fully and thoroughly.
2) Ability aims:
By the end of this class, students are able to apply the reading strategies about how to read diary entries to the real reading practice;
By the end of this class, students are able to talk and write something about Pompeii and Loulan and can also give some comments on them.

Through the learning and discussing in this class, students are able to learn something from Pompeii and Loulan’s lesson and have the sense of protecting our environment and respecting our nature.
