Step 1. Lead-in
What is subject-verb agreement?
How do you understand the word ‘agreement’?
[设计说明] 通过这两个问题让学生来在头脑中回顾关于主谓一致的已有知识,为构建新的知识框架做好准备。
Step 2. Three principles of subject-verb agreement
a) The boy likes football.
b) Boys like football.
1. 主语为单数形式,谓语动词用 形式;主语为复数形式,谓语动词也用 形式。
a) The class are laughing happily.
b) Thirty minutes is enough for the job.
2. 主语形式为单数,但意义为复数,谓语动词用 ;主语形式为复数而意义却是单数,谓语动词用 。
a) There is a book and two pens on the desk.
b) There are two pens and a book on the desk.
3. 语动词的单复数取决于 。
