Step One: Learning goals
Show Ss the three learning goals in this lesson.
Step Two: Lead-in
Show the students two pictures and ask Ss the question: What do you want to know about them? Lead the Ss to the task today. Show the points of how to describe a picture and explain the points to the Ss.
Step Three: Describe pictures
1. Learn the skills of description.
2 .Teacher sets an example of Mogao Cave first.
3 Show Ss a picture of Tian an’men Gate and ask Ss to describe it according to the given key words. Ask a student to describe it.
Show some tips about describing pictures to the Ss.
Do some practice by showing them some pictures.
