Step I. Lead in
1.Watch two short videos and then answer some questions about them.
1.Which one makes you want to buy a product ? what's the product?
2.Which one makes you think about a problem in society? what is it?
2.Introduce two main types of advertisements:
commercial advertisements and public service advertisements.
Step II. Brainstorming
Provide the students more meaningful and interesting advertisements , ask students to have a brainstorm and then answer the following two questions:
Is it a commercial advertisement or a public service advertisement?
Why do you like these ads?
Where can we find these ads?
Step III. Observation
Observe the four posters on Page1 and discuss the contents of each one.
Task 1: Try to divide them into two types.
Task 2: Picture-talking
Talk about the posters with your partner
