二、学情分析(Analysis of the students):
本教学设计的教学对象是高一年级的学生,他们经过了义务教育阶段以及高一第一学期的学习,其英语思维能力应该有所提高,且比较以前更加活跃。随着年龄的增长和阅历的增加,他们不再仅仅满足于对教材提供的知识的学习,而是希望能学到更多的兼备知识性和趣味性的综合知识。他们更喜欢形式多样的个性化课堂,乐于接受新鲜事物。而且,他们的个性品质和学习品质也得到提升,学习的主动性和自主性很强,他们愿意积极主动地参与到英语活动中去,特别是我市正在推行的“学讲活动”要求我们改变课堂生态,真正落实教学主体观,让学生成为学习的主体,课堂的主人,成为小老师,实现“兵教兵”的构想。课后,他们也比较倾向于主动扩展和利用有效的学习资源,多渠道获取相关信息,并能用所获得的信息进行清楚有条理的表达。
三、教学目标(Teaching aims and demands):
1、Enable the students to improve the ability of creating new words by adding suffixes to nouns or verbs, and learn more about ads--sales and marketing.
2、Help the studengts to master the language points in this part and use this skill freely to solve some related problems.
3、How to use the created adjectives and how to use the professional terms related to advertisements.
4、Try to write a short passage using adjectives as well as the words related to sales and marketing.
四、教学重难点(Important and difficult teaching points):
本课时的重难点是如何掌握在某些动词或名词后加不同后缀构成形容词的有关构词法的相关知识,能够辨别不同的后缀,正确认识这些派生词的词性和用法,同时,能够运用这一技能解决生活中的问题。
五、教具、教法(Teaching approaches/Teaching Aids):
1、Teaching approaches(the key step for class teaching)
Visual-scene teaching method, tasked-based method as well as the approaches of discussion and so on will be adopted in the teaching process of this lesson .
Emphasis will be put on Ss’ ability of speaking, expressing and brainstormi ng. Language is best learned through activities. I’ll introduce varieties of activities and approaches to meet different needs of them and make the best of the advantages of multimedia which is visualand operable to make lesson vivid, interesting and effective.
2、Interaction Patterns: Teachers -class, individuals, pairs.
Ss’ ability to work independently and together is very important to their success in the future. They should have opportunities to develop their English skills and knowledge independently, in pairs, in groups or as a class.
3、Teaching Aids: multimedia, chalk and a blackboard

Step 1. Greeting and Lead-in
1. Greetings between teacher and students as usual.
T:By last class we had learnt the reading part,this class we’ll do the word power part of this unit. And you have prepared for this before our class.Now ,answer two questions .
--What’s the topic of this unit ?
--What will we learn in this part?
2. Ask Ss to read the teaching aims and demands for this period.
3. Task1. Give the Ss time to read a short passage and the dialogue on Page 6 .
Tom is my classmate.He is always helpful and friendly. He wants to keep healthy and energetic. His dream is to be a national football team player. So he is interested in sports and works out two or three hours everyday. He has an attrative figure with storng body ,and often does exciting games in daily life.
