课堂设计指导思想：
从奥运会的基本信息检测入手，引起学生的兴趣。课文相对来讲比较简单明了，通过快速阅读，细节阅读和深层次阅读并辅之以适当的练习，能很好的帮助学生理解课文，最后根据学生的认知，给他们进行话题讨论。
Teaching aims:
Arouse students’ interest in talking about Olympics.

Encourage students to express their opinion on the fine qualities of successful people.
Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Lead-in
The teacher starts the lesson with a quiz about the Olympics as well as a series of pictures, including the Olympic flag, motto, emblem, mascot, torch relay, medals.
