T: At noon, on my way to school, I meet a boy. He is a little tall and of medium height. He is very handsome with short straight black hair. I think he is A. So I walk near him and pat him on the back and say hello to him. When he turns around, I find that isn’t A. I feel very embarrassed. I believe you may have the same experience as I sometimes, right? So maybe it’s not enough to identify one person just from his looks.

Then ask one student to talk about his own looks and let all of the listeners retell. Ask about 4 or 5 groups to do the oral exercise.

T: As you know, sometimes we can’t tell one from another when we just know the appearance. So there must be something only on you. What other features can be talked about one person?

Ss: colors of skin, habits, clothes, abilities...

Step 6: Finish 3a on page54.

T: Who is Jill’s best friend? And what does he look like?

S: Jack. He doesn’t wear glasses...

T: Jill has best friend. Do you have one? Who is your favorite person? Let’s write something about him or her. Attention, please. Here your favorite person can be very common like your best friend,your favorite teacher and so on. It can also be very famous such as your favorite actor, your favorite actress or your favorite singer. These questions may help you.
