2教学设计
本节课始终以话题“the history of a sport ”为主线,展开以读、写为主的写作教学。为了让学生更好地了解table tennis 的历史，我补充了一篇有关table
tennis 的文章，指导学生如何从文章中寻找相关的信息。以第37页History of
bowling为例,通过展示此类文章的篇章结构,以递进式的教学方法将此类文章的篇章结构(Introduction, Body, Conclusion)呈现给学生,指导学生根据篇章结构进行信息组织，使之成为有意义的篇章。最后,学生将完成关于一篇history of
table tennis的文章。
3学情分析
本节课是牛津教材模块四第二单元Task的第二课时,,本堂课的写作教学要求学生能identify relevant information when reading,and write a report about
the history of table tennis.
本班学生总体层次较低,为了避免学生上公开课紧张,在本节课的教学设计中,降低教学难度,从而激活学生思维,活跃课堂气氛,促使最终目标达成。

Ask the students to read the passage related to table tennis ,fill in the blanks as homework.
Table tennis, also known as ping-pong,is played all around the world and is an Olympic sport.It is played on a table that is 2.74 meters by 1.525 meters and stands 76 centimeters from the ground .The net goes across the centre of the table and is 15.25 centimeters high.It is very similar to playing tennis on a court.
The exact origin of table tennis is not known,but we do know the sport got its start in England in the 1890s, when, after dinner, some upper-middle class Victorians decided to turn their dining room tables into miniature(微型的) versions of the traditional lawn （草地）tennis playing field（网球场）.After the name Ping-Pong was introduced ,the game became a fashionable craze.
The game was popular in Central Europe in the 1910s, and even before this is a modified(改良的） version had been introduced to Japan , where it later spread to China and Korea ,and became popular in the 1920s
The International Table Tennis Federation (国际乒乓球联合会）was founded in Berlin in 1926. In the same year, the first World Table Tennis Championships （乒乓球锦标赛）was held in December in London. In various ping-pong games, the most famous is the world championship competition, which was held once a year at the beginning, now, it is held twice a year ever since 1957.
In 1988, table tennis entered the Olympics, which has four events- men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles and women's doubles ...
Many people believe table tennis is not only a physical game but a psychological game as well.A frequent technique used by many players is to stare at the people they are playing against to make them feel uncomfortable.Today, players from China, South Korea and Germany among others play leading roles in international table tennis competitions.
