Step two: New words.

1.?Present new words.

T: Boys and girls. Please look at the clown. Is his hair short or long?

充分利用快乐小丑来引出描述人物头发的生词,避免难点过于集中。S: His hair is short.

T: Yes! Read after me, short hair.

S: Short hair.

(Use the picture to teach the other new words in the same way,such as curly hair,long hair.)

T: I have long and curly hair. What about the clown?

S: He has short and curly hair.

(The teacher asds some more students to practice.)

T: Please look at the blackboard. Is he a boy?

S: Yes, he is.

T: And he is tall. Read after me, tall.

在黑板上画三个人物简笔画像,呈现描述人物体形、身高单词,同时、教师要用TPR教学法,让学生,更形象地掌握新词。S: Tall.

T: (Teacher draw another one ) Is he tall?

S: No, he isn’t.

T: He is short. Read after me, short.

2.?Practice the new words.

T: Look at 1a. Match the new words with the pictures as quickly as you can.

(Then check the answer.)
