I. Lead-in &Warming Up
As we know, in 2022, Beijing will host the 24Th Winter Olympic Games. At that time, Shantou may also have our own sports events---the 16th GD provincial Games. Now Shantou is bidding for it. All the people in Shantou are excited about it. We hold many different kinds of activities to show our support. (Play a video clip to show that.) So do the students in our school. Ss take part in many sports events, showing great interest in sports.
Let Ss enjoy some pictures and ask them to speak out the names of the sports events.
II. Speaking
T: Xu Zewei is our schoolmate. He is a Senior Two student in our school. He is good at diving and has won eight gold medals in the National Games. All the teachers and students in our school are proud of him. What about you? What kind of sport are you good at?
