Step 1 Lead-in
Talk about my own interesting experiences in senior school, introducing the passive voice.
Step 2. Presentation
Show students five sentences and ask them to put them into passive voice. One of them can’t be changed, which makes them think:
Which words or phrases can’t be used in the passive voice?
Step 3. Pair work
Ask them to recall the tenses they have learnt, and think of the passive voice of each tense.
