Students will learn some verbs that are often used in the passive voice.

Teaching procedures:

Step 1 Lead-in

Review passive voice with several pictures.

Step 2 The passive voice

Help students review the tenses of the passive voice:

Simple present tense: am/is/are + done

Present continuous tense: am/is /are being + done

Simple past tense: was/were + done

Past continuous tense: was/were being + done

Past perfect tense: had been + done

Past future tense: would be + done

Ask students how we can change a sentence into the passive voice.
