Step One Lead-in
Get the students to read a letter and summarize the structure and main ideas of each paragraph.
Step Two Pre-writing: Getting it together
1. Ask students to discuss with their partners and illustrate the key elements that can make a good proposal.
2. Get the students to read between the lines to improve their reading skills.
Step Three Draft: Getting it down
Show them a picture about the application of ipads in the school.
Ask students to list the reasons for whether they should use it or not, then write a proposal to our headmaster.
Step Four Revising: Getting it right
Show students the criterion and get them to evaluate their partners’ writing, including correcting mistakes, underlining good sentences…
Step Five Proofreading: Getting it polished
Invite some students to show their proposals while helping them polish up their proposals again.
Homework
