Teaching Procedure:

Lead-in: revise what we have learnt in reading, VR and introduce the topic, AI.

Questions: what does VR stand for? In the picture, the girl wears a headset and gloves. What’s the function of them?

Introduce the topic, AI, Artificial Intelligence, by showing them Autopilot of Tesla.

Step1: introduce science fictions to students.

Explain the definition of the science fiction to students and what they speak of.

Step2: do predictions on the titles of the books.

Encourage students to write down the key words or phrases even the sentences to guess what the books might tell us or might appear in the book.

Step3: retell the story and locate detailed information in the Journey to the Centre of the Earth.
