Present a picture of the teacher herself and let students use the sentence patterns about people’s looks they have learned in period one to describe the teacher to make the students get familiar with what we want to learn today.

1. Adopting many funny pictures which are popular nowadays, show students the sentence patterns about what a person looks like in respect of height, build,hair and so on.
2. Add some more sentences about people’s face, nose, and eyes and so on.
3. Give students opportunities to play a game to describe people’s looks.Pair work
1.Group in two----make a conversation about people’s looks (including height, build and hair) according to the pictures given by the teacher.
2. play a game to guess the person who is in the picture.
Step 4Presenting
1. Tell the differences between “Yes or No questions” and “alternative questions” by presenting the pictures of their favorite teachers.
2. Guide the students to carry the oral practice about these two kinds of questions in form of a guessing game..
According to the teacher’s guide, answer the questions about their favorite teachers and try to figure out the differences between the two kinds of questions.

Present my favorite actor and describe him by using the language presented in this class.
Ask the students questions:
Who is your favorite actor or actress?
What dose he/ she look like?
3. Give them the opportunity to discuss about their favorite stars or teachers in their groups.

1. Let the students use the target language to write about their favorite person.
2. Pick out some of the students to share their writings and guide other students listen carefully and try to learn from the good and correct the mistakes.
