Her life was miserable and that she didn’t know how she was going to make it. She was tired of fighting and struggling all the time.

「设计意图」从文章中女儿的问题迁移到学生学习上的问题，思考学生们面对学习困难会出现与三种食物相对应的哪三种回应方式。并引导学生使用Some …. Some …. Others ….的句式。

「设计意图」与学生共同欣赏最后一段，并找到优美的句式，及其修辞方式——排比。排比句式可递进内容，加重语气，增强情感，在学生写作中，阐述自己的理由。
