The grammar items in this unit focus on unreal conditionals. Unreal conditionals are used to express a condition or situation that is unreal or imaginary. The students in Grade 2 have a general understanding of this grammar, so what they should focus on is the forms of the verbs and different tenses when they use sentences with unreal conditionals. What’s more, based on their vocabulary and speaking ability, it is vital for them to use unreal conditionals freely and correctly.

What is an unreal conditional?
An unreal conditional is a statement about an unreal or imaginary condition or situation. In general, we can use it to talk about three different conditions. This lesson we are focused on the first one(an imaginary present situation).
