Enable the students to use the correct verb-form to show unreal conditionals in different sentence structures.

Teaching Procedures:
Step I. Self-introduction and Lead-in
Talk with Ss and help Ss learn about unreal conditionals.
Step II. Presentation and practice
1.Learn 3 sentence structures by talking about a poem and the film Titanic.
Structure 1
If…/were/did …, …would/could/might/should do …
Structure 2
If … had been/done…, …would/could/might/should have done…
Structure 3
If…were/did/should/were to…, …would/ could/should/might do…
2. Do some exercises to consolidate the 3 sentence structures.
Step III. Consolidation (A Competition)
Students are divided into 2 groups to finish some tasks.
Step VI. Summary and homework
Homework:
1.Write 5- 8 sentences to talk about Titanic (e.g. the ship, the accident, Jack, Rose, their love, etc.) or make up a dialogue between Jack and Rose.
Try to use all of the three sentence structures of the unreal conditionals.
2. Finish the exercises on Page 40-41.
