Teaching procedures:
Step 1:Lead-in
Greet the students and show students some pictures about electronic and electrical goods in your daily life. Ask them what electronic and electrical goods they can see in the picture.Students try to speak them out and lead to this lesson.
Step 2: Matching the game
According to the descriptions of the different goods, ask the students to match the correct pictures with it and try to speak it in English. Then we will do a quick review what we have learned and summarize them into the household appliance, which can lead to the electronic goods parts.
Step3: Complete the form
Ask the students to read the passage in their textbook and put the blue words into correct categories and then check the answers in order to master the skills of putting the key information into the correct categories.
Step4: Complete the passage
Ask the students to fill in the blanks with suitable expressions from part A and part B. after giving the students time to do this part, choose one student to read the text and check his or her answers.
Step5: Brainstorming
Students should complete the mind gap with many goods they can think of. the students will be given 3 minutes to collect as many as goods for study, for entertainment, for household. Then any volunteers can come to the blackboard to speak out their goods as quickly as they can in 50 seconds.This part may be a little difficult for them.
Step6: Group work
First, the students will be given the question: “what do you want to invent most based on your daily life? Why?”, through the question, the students can choose one aspect to make their magic invention. Second, the students can organize their presentation from the following aspects: product, reasons, advantages. Third, the show time: the students come to the blackboard to represent their magic goods.
Step7:Homework
Ask the students to list many words related to electrical and electronic goods as you can.
